What should be the meaning of the term ‘financial institution’ under the Polish Commercial Companies Code?

Financial institution is a bank, investment fund, investment fund corporation or trust fund corporation, national investment fund, insurance establishment, trust fund, retirement pension society, retirement pension fund or brokerage house, having its seat within the territory of the Republic of Poland or in a member state of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

(article 4 paragraph 1 item 7 of the Polish Commercial Companies Code).
