Independent possessor and the dependent possessor in polish law

What is the difference between the independent possessor and the dependent possessor the the thing?

The independent possessor of a thing is a person who exercises power over it as an owner, whereas the dependent possessor is the person who exercises actual power over thing as usufructuary, pledgee, lessee, tenant or as a person entitled to any other right involving exercise of actual power over a thing belonging to another (article 336 of the Polish Civil Code).
